Im 99% sure the 92's are SOHC VTEC

Sounds odd using engine oil in a manual trans, Im sure there is manual trans fluid you need.

ok, i have 2 simple questions that i'm just not sure about that i wanna get clear...first, i wanted to know if a 92 civic ex 4door is vtec. i had thought the 92's werent but i always see ads or whatever for sohc vtec from 92-95 civic ex/si....2nd question is do i use regular motor oil in a manual tranny cause i only been driving my 5 speed for a couple of months now so im not sure, cause i know there is auto tranny fluid, but how bout manual?? thanx in advance

92-95 ex's in canada we're not sohc vtec's.....i think they had a special model with the vtec which was the ex-v.
even from 96-99 our 4dr ex's never had vtec, they left it with the acura 1.6 EL.

BTW. anybody around your areas in the states have people driver 1.6 EL's??
